Coronavirus Update

The Home remains in lock-down to protect our residents. Visiting guidelines are now:

  • outside visits can last up to an hour with 6 people from two different households, social distancing needs to be adhered to and face coverings have to be used;

  • to ensure all indoor visits are fairly distributed, each resident can have a one hour visit per week with their key visitor in our designated room, which will be deep cleaned after each visit.

The staff continue to work extremely hard to keep the home virus free. We have very vulnerable elderly residents living in our home and our aim is to keep them as safe as possible at all times. I would like to thank you for your support in helping us to do this.

Please contact us on 01463 230149 to arrange an appointment.

The latest updates, including visiting protocol, visiting pro forma and admissions policy, can be found here.

The Scottish Government has recently outlined further details of its Testing Expansion Plan and Care Homes. The Plan will significantly expand testing to designated visitors to care homes and professionals from health and other professions that regularly visit care homes. Details can be found here. We will keep you informed as the procedures are rolled out.

Thank you.

DIGNITY.

We value our residents’ independence and provide individual care accordingly.

Each resident has a care plan, tailored to their needs, which has been developed from information provided by themselves, their families, social workers, the NHS and their GP.

This plan provides our staff with detailed information on general health, medication and dependency requirements, to help provide the best level of care and help create the relationships that are vital for residents’ wellbeing. These plans are regularly reviewed and updated to ensure they cover any change in circumstances.

TRUST.

Our dedicated team of more than 40 staff are registered with the Scottish Social Services Council and work to the National Care Standards to deliver care tailored to the individual needs of our 30 residents.

All have, or are working towards achieving, the appropriate qualifications to meet the governing body's regulations. Staff are also registered with the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme and regularly liaise with other professional bodies where necessary.

LOVE.

We love what we do and it's important to us that our residents feel loved and cared for. This philosophy has been imbedded into the home and the training of our staff since the days of our founder.

We welcome individuals into a home that is safe, caring, relaxing and happy, and one that represents and promotes the dignity and rights of privacy of each resident.

We pride ourselves in providing the highest possible level of care and constantly review our training and provision to ensure we continue to raise the quality bar.
